I am entering my third year as the North Bay Haven Elementary Charter Academy principal and I couldn't be more excited. I have spent most of my career as a teacher and administrator in the state of Michigan. I hold two degrees from Saginaw Valley State University- the first a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a minor in math and science and the second a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Through my years in education I have had the opportunity and experiences to work with great people. My career started out as a teacher and counselor at an alternative school in Michigan for three years, followed by eight years as a 5th grade math and science teacher. In 2005 I began my administration career in Peck, Michigan as an elementary principal. Two years later, in 2007, I had the chance to go "home" and become the middle and high school principal at my alma mater in Kingston, Michigan, which I did for the next four years. In 2011 I became the district superintendent for two years. Over these years, I also spent a number of seasons coaching varsity basketball and football. In the summer of 2013 my family and I moved to Panama City, Florida where I became the elementary principal at North Bay Haven Elementary Charter Academy. We couldn't be happier! My wife Rachelle is a Spanish teacher at Mosley High School. My children Michael and Kristen are both students at North Bay Haven Middle/High School and my two younger children Joshua and Lauren attend North Bay Haven Elementary School. My family loves North Bay Haven Charter Schools. The faithful commitment to hard work and high expectations by our parents, students and staff make this the best school I have ever worked in. I look forward to working with you and your children each and every day. I have an open door policy, am always looking forward to talking to you, and I encourage you to not only be here, but to be active and engaged in our school. Go BUCS!
