FCA Jr. would like to invite you to join us for our school's first See You at the Pole. See You at the Pole is a world wide prayer event taking place on the morning of Wednesday, September 26. We will be meeting at our school's flag pole to pray for our school, teachers, and each other from 7:00-7:20. K-5 is welcome but K-2 MUST be accompanied by a parent.

Girl Scouts

For over 100 years, the Girl Scout mission has been to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Girls participate in fun activities, get outdoors to learn skills, and explore the world around them. Girl Scout Troop 3005 would like to invite all girls in Kindergarten through 12th grade to join in on the fun! We meet each Wednesday at 3:45pm until 5pm in room 152 (on the middle school side). The girls must be registered through the Girl Scouts of the Florida Panhandle to attend the meetings. FCA Jr. has started their annual backpack food drive. This drive helps support both students at NBH and Merriam Cherry Street Elementary. We are collecting easy kid friendly meals and snacks to provide food to students over the weekend when school breakfast and lunch are not available. Let's beat last years number of 2,093 items donated! Please see the attached letter for a list of requested items.

Spirit shirts are now available for sale in the front office for $12. Child sizes are quickly running out! Please get yours before they are gone! CASH ONLY, NO CHECKS!



Morning Drop-off

Elementary parking lot is open only to preK parents and staff until 7:15 am.


Numbered parking lot spaces are for NBHE Staff.


Do not block the entrance to the parking lot.


Please stay off your phone and pay very close attention.




MEN-tor Program

NBH MEN-tors program is designed for a dad, or father figure, to be able to come to the school and volunteer for the day. Dads will be given a schedule that will allow them to spend time in their child’s classroom and special areas, along with helping in the lunch room and monitoring hallways. MEN-tors will also be given a free t-shirt and their picture taken with their child to be put on the recognition board. This is a great opportunity to get 8 volunteer hours completed.

SEPT. 21st, Homecoming Kickoff, CLASH OF CLASSES will take place after an activity bell.  There will be 4 events, Dodgeball, Blanket Relay, Powderpuff Volleyball and the new Color Obstacle Relay (Foam and Color).


 $20 to watch or play, to get out of class/study hall.  Help your teacher earn $100 and your grade earn $600.  Our purchase goal for this this year is a spirit flag for all events.  See the attached flyer for more information. Also, Colors have been selected for color wars:

We are gearing up for our annual Walk-A-Thon, Oct. 17th-Oct. 26th.  This year we are using a company,, so that we can move into the digital age of online pledges and social media pledge gathering.  In a few weeks we will be sending out much more information on this.


 But in the meantime, we are working on getting our Business Sponsors.  Please see the attached Business Sponsor Form.  There is a hard deadline of Sept. 28th for the Bus.Sponsors, as we are having shirts made this year and need to have the order placed in time to receive the shirts for the FUNrun.  Please help make this event great, by being one of our Sponsors.

Volunteer Opportunities

Box Tops

Last year we exceeded our goal for Box Tops collection. This year we have increased our goal to $1500 and I KNOW we can achieve this!!!


Please bring in your box tops in a zip lock bag labeled with your child's name and teacher. We will be doing a class competition and the class that wins will get a party!!


There will be a box in the front office of the elementary school for your box tops donations. Many of the teachers also have a box in their rooms for collections. 


I will be collecting all box tops on Friday, October 26, 2018. No collections will take place after that until the spring. Keep bringing in your box tops!!
