Cards for a Cure-benefiting Paisley Corbitt
The members of the NBH Elementary BRAVO club (Buccaneer Response And Volunteer Outreach) want to help a one of our high school guidance counselor's niece who has childhood cancer. Mrs. Gibson's niece, Paisley, has been undergoing treatment for childhood cancer for some time now. Paisley is a real fighter and has been selected as a recipient of Cards for a Cure. The program selects a child to receive Christmas cards from people who are willing to donate one dollar.  Cards for a Cure is hoping Paisley will receive 3000 Christmas cards, each containing well wishes and $1.00! Please help the BRAVO club help little Paisley. The members of the BRAVO Club thank you in advance and wish you a Merry Christmas!

2018-19 Lottery Applications-IMPORTANT
Parents, if you have a child that will be entering Kindergarten, please submit an application for the lottery that will be held in March.  The deadline to be included in the lottery is Feb. 28.  If submitted after this date, you're child will be placed on the wait list under all students that were part of the lottery, even if they have a sibling attending NBH.
Also, if you have a child that is attending a school other than NBH and you would like them to attend here with their sibling, you MUST submit an application for the 2018-19 school year.

Service Road Closed

We will continue to have the NBH service road from the dumpster area to the elementary school closed from 7:40 am until 2:00 pm. We appreciate your continued help to ensure the safety of our students. If the road barriers are up DO NOT GO AROUND THEM and DO NOT MOVE THEM! Health Room Reminder

Cold and flu season is upon us!  We have had several cases of strep at school as well.  Please remember to keep children home when sick: Students with a fever (temperature greater than or equal to 100) or flu/strep-like illness should not return to school until they have been fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medicines.  Students with symptoms of intestinal illness (diarrhea and vomiting) should be symptom free before returning to school.

Parking/Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders
Parents, do not drop off or pick up your child in a road- this is not allowedYou must pick up your child or drop him/her off in the designated spot or park. This is a huge safety issue. Also, please drive with patience and focus. Phones should be put away and drive slow. Safety is our number one focus during this time so please help us out. Thank you.

Also, if you are parked by the curb to pick your child up, please stay in your car. We will bring your child to you! Again, Safety is our number one focus during this time!

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Yearbooks are on sale right now for the cheapest price they'll be all year, $35.  You can buy them online at, or you can bring a check or cash to Ms. Lensink in room 112 (in the high school).  Our yearbooks sell out every year.  Don't miss out! We also have a few copies of the 15/16 and 16/17 Elementary Yearbook available in the Elementary office.

NBH MEN-tors program is designed for a dad, or father figure, to be able to come to the school and volunteer for the day. Dads will be given a schedule that will allow them to spend time in their child’s classroom and special areas, along with helping in the lunch room and monitoring hallways. MEN-tors will also be given a free t-shirt and their picture taken with their child to be put on the recognition board. This is a great opportunity to get 8 volunteer hours completed!
