Student Information Changes
If you need to add people to your students check out list, the enrolling parent must come in to the office to make that addition. We cannot do those over the phone. If you need to make an address update, you must bring in 2 proofs of residency to the front office before we can make a change. Again, this must be the enrolling parent.

4th Grade musical on
The Fourth Grade will present, "We Honor You" on in the gym. They should dress in their buccaneer blue polo and a khaki uniform bottom and meet me in the gym at for warm-up and placement. The show will begin at This is a wonderful musical that honors our veterans and our country. Please invite any friends or family that are veterans or family of veterans. This is a graded performance. A written make-up assignment will be offered for any who are sick and unable to be at the performance on the evening of the 7th.
Movers for Mutts
We are accepting donation for Movers for Mutts, a program to help local animal shelters. They are seeking dish washing soap, liquid laundry detergent, hand soap, bath wipes, paper towels, kitty litter, Purina cat and dog food. This donation will go through.
Parking/Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders
Parents, do not drop off or pick up your child in a road- this is not allowed. You must pick up your child or drop him/her off in the designated spot or park. This is a huge safety issue. Also, please drive with patience and focus. Phones should be put away and drive slow. Safety is our number one focus during this time so please help us out. Thank you.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: Yearbooks are on sale right now for the cheapest price they'll be all year, $35. You can buy them online at www.jostens.com, or you can bring a check or cash to Ms. Lensink in room 112 (in the high school). Our yearbooks sell out every year. Don't miss out! We also have a few copies of the 15/16 and 16/17 Elementary Yearbook available in the Elementary office.
NBH MEN-tors program is designed for a dad, or father figure, to be able to come to the school and volunteer for the day. Dads will be given a schedule that will allow them to spend time in their child’s classroom and special areas, along with helping in the lunch room and monitoring hallways. MEN-tors will also be given a free t-shirt and their picture taken with their child to be put on the recognition board. This is a great opportunity to get 8 volunteer hours completed!

Lost and Found
Lost and found items will be kept in the elementary lunchroom for 1 week. Any item with a name on it will be return to the student.After a week we will donate the unclaimed items to a benevolent organization.

Teacher Appreciation Lunch
This year there will be 3 teacher appreciation lunches which will feed faculty and staff from all 3 schools. That’s 150 people! The first appreciation lunch has been coordinated by 4th and 5th grade room moms and is scheduled for October 27th. In order to feed all 150 people we need help from parents from elementary, middle, and high school. Please sign-up today to help with this special event for our hard working teachers and staff.

WHAT TO DO IF SENDING CASH:
Please note on the Signup there are opportunities to contribute money to purchase some of the food. Please send your money in a sealed envelope with your name, your child’s name, to the attention of PTSP Teacher Appreciation Luncheon and drop off at the elementary office. Money should be sent in by October 25th.
WHAT TO DO IF SENDING FOOD:
Please drop-off your food and nonperishable items at the ELEMENTARY cafeteria on October 27th starting at drop off but no later than A room mom will be available starting at to receive your item(s). Please do not send in items any earlier than the 27th. Also, consider using disposable serving containers. If you are using your own dishes, please make sure they are labeled. Dishes can be picked up in the teacher lounge at the end of the day.

The books will be delivered to your child’s classroom approximately one week after the fair closes.
Wear Your Own T-shirt (All For Books):
This year, one of our book fair goals is to ensure as many children as possible receive have access to books. One of the ways we can accomplish this is through the All for Books program. With your help, all donations on the wear your own t-shirt day will be used to purchase books from the fair and will be distributed throughout the school. Not only does your donation help our cause, but Scholastic Book Fairs® will match all monetary donations with a donation of up to one million dollars in books from The Scholastic Possible Fund which distributes books to children in need through organizations such as Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc. and Kids In Need Foundation.
Donuts with Dad at the Book Fair:
Donuts with Dad will be run by our MEN-tors this year. Dads please join us for coffee and donuts while you help your kids shop for some great books. If you are interested in learning more about the MEN-tor program, this is a great opportunity to talk to some of the dads that are involved in this amazing program just for dads on our elementary campus.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Getaway – Order the soon to be released Dairy of a Wimpy Kid book paperback addition for only $8.99! The book will arrive at school 5-7 days after its release on November 7th. See attached flier.
