Father/Daughter Dance




VARSITY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL CHEER teams are hosting the annual

NBH Cheer Father/Daughter Dance

Date: April 26, 2019

Place: NBH Gym

Time: 6:00 to 8:00

Cost: Pre-Sale $12.00 FOR THE COUPLE (tickets in the school offices)

At the door $15.00


Fathers dress up take your daughter out for date night! Show her what a real date is and show her all your dance moves! Your daughter gets to dress up too and teach you some new dance moves.  Dinner is included with the ticket for each of you.  Extra items available for purchase (see flyer for details).  Georgia Cooper Photography will be available at the dance for photos, $20 for 2-5x7s, of your night out.  The Father/Daughter dance is a FUNdraiser for our cheerleaders’ individual accounts. 


The first fifty daughters to enter the dance receive a Free Tiara.

K-8 Spirit/Jean Day 

Spirit shirt and jean day is on Tuesday, April 23. The fundraiser is $5 collected by the teachers.




Electronic Devise Policy during state testing  

Students are not permitted to have any electronic devices, including, but not limited to, cell phones, smartphones, and smartwatches, at any time during testing or during breaks (e.g., restroom), even if the devices are turned off or students do not use them. If your student is found with an electronic device, his or her test will be invalidated.




FCA, Jr.

FCA Jr. has been overwhelmed by the number of requests for water bottles. We are currently out but will be receiving more soon. If you have turned in your form and not gotten your water bottle, please start collecting change in a ziploc bag or plastic cup. As soon as more bottles are available Mrs. Sistrunk will let you know! 



Tupelo Beekeepers’ Field Day


Where: NBH Elementary in the Grassy Field

When: Saturday, April 27th from 9am-2pm


What: This is a Field Day for anyone who loves bees, from those interested in beekeeping, to those who already have bees.

Our classes will be on Basic Beekeeping Tools; Splitting Your Bees; Mites, Treatment, and Alcohol Wash; and You Have Bees, Now What?

Lunch will be provided with entry fee.

Door Prize and Raffle for starter Beehive

Pay early fees on Eventbrite Adults $20.00 Child's $5.00 (At the Door Adult's $25.00 and Child's $10.00)

Bay Haven, Inc Summer Camp Program

Bay Haven, Inc Summer Camp Program starts May 28th and runs through August 2nd.  As always, we will have educational programs, fantastic field trips, and great fun.  This year breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks will be included in the tuition fee.  Bay Haven, Inc Summer Camp Program will be on the NBHE campus. We will be open to all students entering into Kindergarten through Middle School.

Summer Soccer Camp

The annual Buccaneer Summer Soccer Camp will take place June 10th-13th from 8:00-10:30. Sign up early to reserve your child's spot! There will be limited players in each age group! Also, please email me if you are interested in helping coach at the camp or if you know someone who may be interested! See the attached flyer for all the camp info!! 




P.E. Days

Parents, please make sure students remember to wear tennis shoes on days they have PE, especially on dress up days. The kids want to play, but wearing heel boots or any boots and flats can cause injuries.  




MEN-tor Program

NBH MEN-tors program is designed for a dad, or father figure, to be able to come to the school and volunteer for the day. Dads will be given a schedule that will allow them to spend time in their child’s classroom and special areas, along with helping in the lunch room and monitoring hallways. MEN-tors will also be given a free t-shirt and their picture taken with their child to be put on the recognition board. This is a great opportunity to get 8 volunteer hours completed.

Spring Carnival Winners

The 2nd graders ROCKED it!!!! A 2ndgrade class won in every category!

They won the donut parties for their classes.

These classes collected the most candy, hairspray annd sodas for our spring carnival.

PTSP Board Member Positions




At the May PTSP general meeting, the general membership will be voting to elect the PTSP board of directors for the elementary, middle and high school.  These board members will serve for the 2019-2020 school year.  Meetings will begin this summer and will be held monthly all year long.  Board members must be available to attend these meetings which are held the first or second Friday of each month at 8 am.  In addition, board members will be required to help with PTSP fundraisers, to attend PTSP fundraisers as well as two general PTSP meetings per year.


If you would like to volunteer for a board position, please complete the attached board nomination form and attach a letter addressing your strengths and how you can contribute to our amazing organization.  Voting will take place at the May general PTSP meeting so please make sure to attend if you want to be considered.


All forms should be submitted to the front office at either the elementary or middle/high school campus.  All forms should be addressed to Lisa Thompson, PTSP President, 2018-2019.  Forms can also be emailed to
